About the Practice

Amelia Tapp has been a licensed attorney in Virginia since 2016. She began Tapestry Legal Services PLLC as a way of using her legal skills to help people. The goal of Tapestry is to provide a personalized, affordable experience for each individual client.

Amelia received her law degree from the George Washington University Law School in Washington DC, and has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic University. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She was awarded the Bronze Medal for outstanding service while employed with the federal government at the U.S. Patent Office.

She has completed over three hundred successful court appearances throughout the state of Virginia and enjoys solving different legal problems and writing.

Amelia is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fairfax Bar Association. She is a member of the ARAG Attorney Network and accepts ARAG Legal Insurance.

She has lived in Virginia since 2004 and is a third generation attorney. Her late father and grandfather were lawyers in Tennessee and she grew up helping out in the family firm. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with family and two sweet dogs.
